Atom-to-Atom Strategy to Overcome Bottleneck of Solid Electrolytes for Li Batteries[Aug 29, 2019]

Prof. MA Cheng from the University of Science and Technology of China and his collaborators proposed an effective strategy to address the electrode-electrolyte contact issue which limits the development of next-generation solid-state Li batteries. The solid-solid composite electrode created this way exhibited exceptional capacities and rate performances.

Direct Detection of Circulating Tumor Cells in Whole Blood Realized Based on Time-Resolved Luminescent Lanthanide Nanoprobes[Aug 26, 2019]

A research team led by Prof. CHEN Xueyuan and Prof. CHEN Zhuo at Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter (FJIRSM) works with no enrichment step and directly detects CTCs in blood samples. This ultrasensitive method for the direct detection of CTCs in blood samples has been developed based on the amplified, time-resolved fluorescence measurement of luminescent lanthanide ions released from nanoparticles that bind specifically to tumor cells.
